On July 18, 2024, Shanghai Putailai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (PTL) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Liyang CASOL New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (CASOL) in Liyang, Jiangsu. PTL's Managing Director, Mr. Chen Wei, and CASOL's Chairman, Mr. Wu Fan, attended the event, formalizing their strategic partnership. This collaboration marks a significant milestone where both parties will jointly focus on the development of solid-state battery technologies, ranging from semi-solid to fully solid-state batteries. Both companies aim to leverage their respective strengths, share resources, and complement each other, fostering innovation and development in solid-state battery technology and advancing the new energy sector. The partnership is expected to achieve a win-win outcome through mutual benefit and cooperation.
Under this strategic cooperation, PTL will provide advanced materials and technical equipment support, including anode materials (such as silicon-carbon anodes and lithium metal anodes), composite electrode materials, solid-state electrolytes, solid-state electrolyte composite membranes, and the development of full solid-state battery production lines and new equipment. This will ensure the most direct and comprehensive support in terms of materials, equipment, process technologies, and R&D capabilities. CASOL will be responsible for the development and supply of sulfide-based solid electrolytes and solid-state battery products, encompassing design, R&D, testing, optimization, and supply chain management.
The strategic collaboration between PTL and CASOL will significantly enhance their joint R&D capabilities in the solid-state battery field, accelerating the industrialization of solid-state battery technology. This partnership will provide safer and higher-performance battery products for the new energy sector and jointly explore both domestic and international markets.
